The other day some friends of mine were talking about how retailers are just going a little overboard with how they are pushing the holidays on people. Before Halloween there was already Christmas ornaments and displays in a few stores.
Well I've actually started to do some Christmas shopping. But the reason is a little different for doing so. Mainly because the one of the items I purchased is from London and I can't just get this certain item at any given time. Through time I may tell the people whom I've gotten gifts for. (just to make sure I ship them to the correct location) ; )
I've realized my updates have become more of a monthly thing. Well yesterday I started to work out again. Back in June I pulled my left shoulder. The crazy thing it was damaged over time. My doctor said I pulled tendon, which I thought was weird, but none the less it was just a pain to sit by and wait.
Does anyone have any experience trademarking and copywriting works or materials? If so I need some assitance.
I've also been working on asset protection, corporation filings and real estate investing. My lack of sleep has never been more. But at least now I don't "feel" tired. |

Well for months I've rarely slept. And yesterday during work and on the way home from work it caught up. It all starting in our weekly meeting. I was standing up close to leaning against the window when I just shut my eyes for a brief second and I felt myself lean into the window. I knew I was now having to fight to stay up. Well a few hours later driving home I was drinking my Sobe energy drink just to keep me from fading. I went to home depot to pick up some supplies and walking helped me stay up.
When I got home I talked with my grandma about her trip to NY and then went to sleep in a chair. When I went home my eyes were so sore I put a cold compress on my face to help with my puffy eyes. The lack of sleep was starting to show. From that time till the time I went sleep at home I slept close to 10.5 hours.
Well today is a new day and caffiene will be my friend =) |

It's now the second week since I moved offices to San Ramon. I don't miss commuting. I used to drive 6 miles, now I average 20-35 depending on where I drive from. If you've ever seen office space, that is how are cubes are set up now. High walls and little interaction with my team. Funny thing is we just yell over the cubes while the rest of the office is doing there own thing.
I know as the year progresses, all the other divisions will find out that we are the ones that always bring food and desserts. I love to cook and bake and so do some others on my team. And everyone likes to eat. Eat, drink and good times. It helps when the work day is long.
I read last week that I should strengthen my relationships with my friends in something. It made me think about all the people I've known for a few years and some I've know for 10+ years. It's funny how sometimes we don't always keep in touch, but after we start talking it's like time never moved.
One thing I tried to do, is not forget birthdays anymore. I always forgot people's birthdays, even my own parents. I would get there's mixed up with my cousin's birthday. Well now I write it down. For those who know me well know I always have so much going on, that I rarely sleep and relaxation is something that is hard for me to do.
At one time the only way to relax would be to go out and party. Which meant drinking, and I mean a lot. Since I had a high tolerance I would drink a lot and get so messed up sometimes I would forget. That is def not good. I've blacked out at least 6 times in my life. Sometimes I got sick, sometimes not. But the crazy thing is, even when I was blacked out I could still react to things. Well at least that is what people told me.
This past weekend I had 2 drinks after not drinking for 2 weeks. That may sound like short time and it is, but when you are around people who are partying and drinking and offering free drinks, it took will power to just say no.
Well the year is 3/4 done and I'm going to a point in my life when there will be another big change. Since I've recently gone into asset protection and planning, went more into the automotive scene, and may get into the club promoting scene it will turn out to be another busy year. Plus doing web design in the hours I'm not sleeping.
Now with the club promo stuff, it will actually be just one club, since a family member of mine has a stake in it. Details will come when the time is right.
Well to my friends old and new, thank you the good times and being around when times were less than grand.
Like one of my friends said, sometimes I don't know what to say, because it seems so unimportant, well at least you let your friends know your still around. |

I'm so glad it's Friday. In another month or so my job will be changing and because of it a lot of us in our department have started to get tired of the job we currently do. I think when you do something so much it just gets stale. I already have almost all my work done for the day and I have half a work day left. haha Well tonight I'll be going to the Tonga room at the Fairmont for his party for the radio station Alice 97.3. It's called their #1 party since they have been #1 in the ratings for the morning show for the past 2 months. I think it will be a lot of fun, plus since they can't buy drinks for people, the radio staff are going to hand out money. =) I can't remember when someone invited me to an event and then paid me to drink. haha
Have a great weekend. |

Well I went to my doctor's office yesterday and she said I may have stretched the tendon in my left shoulder. Now I wonder how did that happen? So I have to think of exercises that won't impact my arm... I wonder if I can just tape up my shoulder so it won't move as much. I guess if it gets worse I'll just have it re-checked. Ugh I don't need any more shoulder injuries... |
| » has it been that long? |
Well I've came back to post a few tibbits of info about myself currently. I've been very busy with work, more work and other stuff. Normal job during the day, web design during the evening and real estate in between. I can't wait until it starts to pay off, since I am trying to get myself in a better financial place. Even though summer starts in a few days, it has been damn hot in the Bay Area. But I rather have sun then rain.
On a side note, while working out today my left shoulder started to bother me, so I had to stop. And I mean like serious shooting pain down my arm pain. So right now I'm am rotating ice packs to try to numb the hell out of it. I've already had one shoulder repaired, I don't need a 2nd one...
I'm wondering if I should dye my hair before my Vegas trip or just leave it as is. I've been pretty lazy in thinking about it, plus I have to worry about paying for all the weddings I have to travel to. Hmm what to do...

| » 20 days until my bday |
I haven't been on here in quite some time... At times I had things to say, but just kept it inside and really haven't talked to much people. I've had a lot happen in the past few months and in 20 days I'll be 30...
Well since I am having a hard time sleep I decide to reflect on my life as an adult and a kid.
When I was young I never thought I would make it to 30 years old. Actually I never even thought of that age. I thought anything in the 20's meant I had to leave behind a life of comfort and jump into the life of the working world. I remember taking the B.A.R.T train to the San Francisco in the early mornings to get to SF State. Being on the train at 6 AM you saw people who were still half asleep and those who just looked like they didn't want to be going to work.
That is something I never wanted. But I ended up working for a corporation (AT&T) and made more money than I knew what to do with at 23. Well I knew that a new car was on the horizon since the car I was driving (300E) started to have problems constantly. Within a year and a half, me and my friends who worked for AT&T were making great money and we all bought cars and always went out. Went out to eat morning, noon and night. Weekends of 2000 went by quick and time passed by.
The Xbox came out and then 9/11 happened. Two months later our center was shut down and we were laid off a week before Christmas. Now being there almost 3 years I got 2 week severance. woot! haha not. Well the crazy thing was the day I was laid off I had a trip planned for Florida that I could not cancel, so I went and had fun as much as I could. When I got back I thought about how I could pay my bills, especially the car bill and the credit card bills I racked up spending like money would not run out. Would I take back what I did? Not a bit, but I learned from it to some point.
After being laid off me and my cousin who also worked at AT&T worked for my uncle wiring ships. That was one of the coolest jobs I had, but also it was scary at times. Remember the saying water and electricity don't mix? Well a house had 120 volts, but 3 phase is 480 volts and if you get shocked by that, you will feel more than a sting. Well there were a few times while working on the sand digging ships that me and my cousin had to work in the rain. And times where we were standing in puddles wiring because there was no way around it. Neither of us got shocked, but it was an eye opener for jobs that people do.
Can you guess which ship is one of the more dirtier ships in the engine rooms? I've been on Naval carriers, the Blue and Gold fleet in SF, Cargo ships, cruise ships and the sand digging ships. Well as crazy as it sounds the cruise ships have some scary looking engine bays. The blue and gold fleet is clean, and the Naval ships are almost spotless.
Well onto the years coming up to 30 years old. This past December my aunt passed away who I was close with. I read the document, myself and my family wrote. People who know me know I'm quiet, but reading that document I was a different person.
The procession was pretty long and we had about an 8 police escort to help with traffic. I think one of the hardest things was seeing how my younger cousins took it and looking to where it will take the rest of the family.
My parents house also had a gas leak, and they were without gas for almost 3 weeks. I had to dig up a lot of the brick work I did, to access the gas line and when my dad came back from Mexico he help. There was a point where I didn't care that it was raining when I worked, I couldn't take my parents and grandma being without heat and hot water. (they also had to use my shower everyday)
Well something I also realized this December is when I got my 2005 resolutions from SK. I realized some things I did accomplished and others I did not reach. And I smiled when I realized how close I was to getting rid of my debt.
Well in 20 days I'll be 30 and I really have not thought of what to do, possibly hit up Napa. But for the friends I have not spoke with for a while, know that you are in my thoughts. I hope all of you are doing well.

| » Life has just been really busy... |
I've have not posted quite a long while. I've been beyond busy.
For the past few weeks I've been working 13 plus hours a day. Working at the normal job, then coming home designing websites.
One site is done, one is almost complete and the last has a few more revisions.
www.grantham-international.com <- done
www.dacornerlounge.com <- client/friend's lounge (public version not online yet)
www.granthamstudios.com <- My photography website/porfolio (Beta Version) Not completed, but you can see pics 1-6
Well over the weekend was really fun. Hung out with some old friends at her party and then went to my friend's lounge where I was the photographer for the night. Until the site is finally up here is a peek at the pictures I took for that night's event. It was my friend Anthony's birthday who is one of the owners.
